This type of clutch is electrically commanded.

The control device has its negative pole connected to the machine carter and its positive pole connected to the brush which contacts the slipring in the coil core.

This system generates a magnetic flux which pulls the two facing sets of teeth together against the action of the recoil springs. When the clutch is energised, the recoil springs are compressed. When power is switched off these springs push the sliding ring back to its travel stop on the flange (versions F and P).
